The agreement and the service
TaxAhead ("we") operates the private Web beta described in these terms. You agree to these terms and to the Private Beta Consent by ticking the acceptance box and choosing "Accept and continue" on the beta consent page. The privacy policy describes how we handle information and is not part of this agreement. Do not use the beta if you do not agree. Contact: hi@taxahead.app; business mailing address: to be published.
The beta is free, invitation-only and read-only. It helps organize supported account information and generate household investment sale planning material. It does not place or approve brokerage orders, move funds, file tax returns or charge a participation fee. We receive no payment, commission or referral fee in connection with the beta or with any security it mentions. Future paid or execution features are outside these terms and require new disclosures and your agreement before use.
Planning material and limitations
Planning material, not tax or investment advice; unreviewed. Results, alerts and packets have not been reviewed by a qualified tax or investment professional. They are preliminary material for your own evaluation, not a recommendation or an instruction to buy, sell, hold or file. The beta does not promise a particular tax result, investment return or outcome.
Inputs may be incomplete, stale or incorrect. Calculations depend on assumptions and may omit facts about other accounts, tax circumstances, market conditions or applicable rules. Verify important figures against original records and consult your own qualified professional before acting. Providing the beta does not create a tax-preparer, investment-adviser or other professional engagement between you and us.
Eligibility and account responsibilities
For the initial beta, participants must be at least 18, be located in the United States and hold a personal invitation. Keep your sign-in credentials secure, do not share an account, and report suspected unauthorized access to hi@taxahead.app. We may require reasonable identity or access verification.
Provide only information you are authorized to use. Do not upload another person's financial information without appropriate authority. Review the accuracy of your imports and keep your original records; the beta is not your sole recordkeeping system. Do not use the service to access another household, bypass safeguards, introduce malware, interfere with operation or violate applicable law.
Your information and our software
You retain your rights in the information you provide. You permit us to process it as reasonably necessary to deliver the requested beta functions, under the privacy policy and applicable law. This permission does not transfer ownership of your financial information and does not authorize advertising, model training or any other reuse that the privacy policy does not describe.
We retain our rights in the TaxAhead software and service materials. We grant you a limited, personal, revocable permission to use the beta for its intended purpose while your invitation is active. You may keep and share your own planning exports, with their limitations and unreviewed labels intact. Obtain professional review before relying on them.
Feedback and third parties
You may voluntarily give us suggestions, and you permit us to use them to improve the service without obligation to you. Do not include confidential third-party information or unnecessary account details in feedback. This permission does not allow us to publish your identity, financial data, quotes or testimonials without your separate permission.
Identity, infrastructure and any separately enabled financial connection depend on third-party services. Those providers' terms may apply to your interactions with them. We do not promise uninterrupted availability or the accuracy of information supplied by others.
Stopping participation and changes
You may stop using the beta at any time, and the owner of a household may request its deletion under the privacy policy. Signing out, declining or withdrawing from the beta, removal of an invitation and deletion of data are distinct actions. We may suspend access for security, misuse or legal reasons and may change or end the beta. Where practicable, we give notice and a reasonable opportunity to retrieve your data, subject to security and legal constraints.
We identify material changes to these terms with a new version and effective date and obtain your renewed acceptance before further use. A change never retroactively expands our permission to use personal data beyond what applicable law and your consent allow.
Warranties and liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the beta is provided as is and as available, without a promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for any particular purpose, and without any other warranty, express or implied. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits a right or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud, gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to the beta is limited to the greater of one hundred US dollars and the amounts you paid us for the beta, which are zero. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential or special loss, or for loss of profit, data or opportunity, to the extent the law allows this limitation.
Governing law and other terms
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas and applicable federal law of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and any dispute is brought in the state or federal courts located in Texas. Nothing in these terms waives rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be waived, and these terms contain no arbitration requirement and no class-action waiver.
Your electronic acceptance, recorded with its version and time, is the record of this agreement. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. You may not assign these terms; we may assign them to a successor that operates the beta, with notice to you. We give notices at the email address you sign in with. These terms, the Private Beta Consent and the privacy policy's description of our practices are the entire agreement about the beta.
